Rebar that can't rust

Steel rebar rusts, swells and cracks the concrete around it — the reason so many bridges and car parks crumble. Glass-fibre rebar simply doesn't corrode, so it transforms life in marine and de-iced structures. The catch, honestly stated: it isn't ductile like steel, so you design it differently — strength, not yield.
