Privacy
The short version: the mpolyco app collects nothing and works fully offline. The website has no tracking, no analytics, and no ads — the only data it ever stores is what you deliberately type in when you choose to create an account. We never sell or share it.
The app (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
The mpolyco app has no server and collects nothing. Every calculator, simulation, the periodic table and the whole handbook run entirely on your device — no account, no connection, and no usage is ever reported anywhere. There is no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
If you set up a profile in the app (a name and an optional photo), it is stored only on your device and is never uploaded. Deleting the app, or using the in-app “delete account” option, removes it completely.
The website (mpolyco.com)
Browsing the website is anonymous. There are no cookies for tracking, no advertising, and no third-party analytics. We do not build a profile of you or record what you read.
The website offers an optional account so you can save your calculator “workspaces” and pick them up on another device. It exists only if you choose to register. When you do, we store:
- your email address — to identify your account and let you sign in;
- your password — stored only as a salted one-way hash (PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256), never in plain text and never visible to us;
- an optional display name you provide;
- the workspaces you save (the inputs to a calculator, and a name you give them);
- any material contributions you submit for review.
That is the entire list. We do not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers, or anything you did not type in yourself. This data is held in a database (Cloudflare D1) used solely to provide the accounts feature.
What we never do
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data with anyone.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling.
- No third-party data brokers.
Your control
If you created a website account, you can delete your saved workspaces at any time, and deleting your account removes your email, hashed password and saved work from our database. In the app, everything is on your device, so removing the app removes your data. To ask a question or request deletion, contact us (below).
Children
mpolyco is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It shows no ads, collects nothing from the app, and never asks a child for personal information.
