T300 is the classic standard-modulus PAN carbon fibre from Toray — the reference fibre much of the composites literature is written around, at roughly 230 GPa modulus.

Cheaper and tougher (higher strain-to-failure) than the stiffer intermediate- and high-modulus grades, it remains the default for general industrial and aerospace laminates where ultimate stiffness isn't the priority. T300/5208 is a standard textbook prepreg system.
