Manufacturing
Design is a promise; manufacturing keeps it. The process is part of the material.
← Back to the latticeWhat it studies
Manufacturing turns raw material into parts: molding, extruding, machining, welding, printing, laying up. Every process leaves fingerprints — fiber directions follow the layup, voids form where air was trapped, weld lines form where melt fronts met.
That is why the same material makes different parts depending on how it was processed, and why our database records test methods and conditions next to every value.
