Design is decision-making under constraints: loads from statics, stresses from mechanics, materials from the database, processes from manufacturing — all negotiated into one part that works, fits, and can be built at a price.
The working rhythm is iteration. Change the layup, re-run the numbers, check the safety factor, repeat. Our calculators with saved workspaces are exactly this loop in miniature; CAD adds the geometry and CAE scales the same idea to full parts.
